Hoang Kieu (Hoàng Ku, born in Vietnam - Triệu Phong, Quảng Trị Province)[1] is a Vietnamese-born American billionaire who owned 37% of Shanghai RAAS Blood Products in 2013, which is traded on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. He debuted on the 2014 Forbes Billionaires List, with a net worth of $3.8 billion. Kieu Hoang is vice chairman of Shanghai RAAS Blood Products Co.; he owns about 35% of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange-listed company. Hoang was born poor in Vietnam and immigrated to the U.S. with his family in 1975 as the last of the American troops were pulling out of the country. He found his way into a job at Abbott Reference Laboratories, and became director of the company's blood plasma testing and manufacturing division. In 1980, Hoang founded a company called Rare Antibody Antigen Supply and began to acquire plasma centers in the U.S. A collaboration with the Shanghai Blood Center in China in 1987 led Hoang to found Shanghai RAAS Blood Products in 1988.
